About us
Food for Thought Glasgow encourages social integration and healthier lifestyles through training. To support this work, we also provide Healthy Hospitality catering for Events and Functions.
Our Healthy Appetite Campaign is all about food and cooking. Cooking is a life skill that many people miss out on. If people can't cook, they cannot successfully make healthy choices and take control of the food in their lives.
The Healthy Appetite Campaign is the leading practical food education and outreach programme in Glasgow. It inspires people to cook and prepare healthy food.
Mission Statement
The Healthy Appetite Campaign is designed to raise the profile and importance of food education, and helps secure, sustain and strengthen food in the community. The campaign focuses on the preparation of food as a key life skill available to all, emphasising the social importance of food.
Testimonials
"I thoroughly enjoyed the FFTG training courses. The Healthy Eating training gave me the skills and confidence to prepare healthy nutritious meals, which aided weight loss and improved well-being. Just look at me now!".

"The Christmas cooking classes provided for NGHLC, have been a great success. The learners have learnt about food preparation, healthy eating, cooking on a budget. They have been able to try new foods and learn how to cook different dishes. Many of the learners have also tried the recipes at home with their children" Lyndsey Murison, Health & Wellbeing Worker - North Glasgow Healthy Living Community
